God’s Way Food Pantry -Emergency Grant 2020

God’s Way Food Pantry – Coronavirus Response

God’s Way Food Pantry is experiencing a significant increased demand for produce and groceries, currently 4 times the normal distribution. By the end of May God’s Way Food Pantry anticipates meeting the food needs for 800 to 1,000 people. This need will likely continue for months, not weeks, as more families are affected by COVID 19. The food pantry expects to be $1,500 over budget for each community food distribution.

Lake Toxaway Charities donated $5,000 yesterday (April 2nd) to aid in this important initiative. The funds will help provide gloves, masks, and additional food for our local families in need.

Lake Toxaway Charities is committed to working with agencies in Transylvania County who are providing a vital link to necessary resources of food, medication, and shelter during this difficult time. If you are able, please consider a donation to Lake Toxaway Charities to help the less fortunate of our community who need assistance during this pandemic.

God’s Way Food Pantry is an all volunteer staff, with all funding going directly to food and operating costs. God’s Way volunteers send their thanks for your continued support during this challenging time.

Update 4/20/2020:

“I hope these pictures can convey some of what we are doing to meet food needs in our communities  This would not happen without the support of Lake Toxaway Charities and others.”

Lydia Perry,Director

The April 18th Gods Way Food Bank distribution, in Balsam Grove, served a record 225 families.
