5/6/2020 Update:

Lake Toxaway Charities donated $5,000 in late March to Change the World to aid in fresh food purchases for the elderly and vulnerable in Transylvania County. Food distributions have been in high demand, at least three times the normal numbers.

On May 1st, Lake Toxaway Charities granted an additional emergency grant of $6,510. The additional emergency grant was utilized to purchase 8,400 pounds of chicken for those in need in our community. This purchase included: legs, boneless skinless breasts and thighs.

In the interest of food safety, Change the World consulted with Carolyn Barton, who is a certified food handler, regarding the transportation and storage of the chicken. Ms. Barton also serves as the director of the Transylvania County School System Child Nutrition Department. The chicken was successfully and safely delivered on May 6th.

To-date, Lake Toxaway Charities has granted $11,510 to Change the World in an effort to support their important work in our community.
