April Spotlight

Friends and Neighbors, we like to start each month by shining a spotlight on a selection of our supported agencies, to help you become more familiar with their important role in our community and how you may help. As we navigate these difficult times in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, we are altering our approach. This month we will focus on how Lake Toxaway Charities is supporting agencies directly involved in providing food, shelter, and medication to those in need.

The last few weeks, and more recent days have been understandably concerning with the continuing spread of the coronavirus. Times like these highlight how much good there is in the world, as neighbors help neighbors.

We will begin our April Spotlight by featuring: Transylvania County Schools, MedAssist​, Transylvania Christian Ministry, Sharing House​, and God’s Way Food Pantry

April Spotlight – Coronavirus Response Lake Toxaway Charities, as part of our Coronavirus response is providing assistance to the food insecure school-aged children of Transylvania County Over 80% of Transylvania County students qualify and are provided 2 meals a day by our schools. The Lake Toxaway Charities emergency grant funding is hard at work at Sharing House. The Sharing House is using the funds to meet immediate needs.
