“The Family Place strengthens families through support, education and community building. Our programs include various parent/caregiver support groups using the Circle of Parents model and two series of “The Incredible Years” positive parenting classes. Lake Toxaway Charities partially funds our playgroups and “Stay & Play” programs for early learning and development to prepare children for future academic and social success. Its donations also fully fund our “Learning Together” kits, which provide families with high quality, developmentally appropriate books, games, and activities supporting early literacy. By using these kits, parents and children can play, learn and grow together. In addition, we have a Family Learning Garden to bring families together by offering our clients the ability and confidence to grow their own food to nourish their families regardless of income.”
