Lake Toxaway Charities funds the purchase of calculators, geography software for classroom use and virtual reality devices for our school’s media center. Its grants have allowed us to enhance our classroom geography programs, encouraging our students to ‘travel’ the world and expand their own horizons through the use of today’s technology.

Each year, the students identify areas in the community of need. They help to organize the work groups and organize needed materials. By working with adults in the community, they learn leadership and communication skills. They also develop an appreciation and pride for the area where they live. These soft skills are not always easily incorporated into the curriculum, but are very valuable in the workplace.

Lake Toxaway Charities awarded a grant in 2020 to Rosman High School. The grant will provide for band equipment, a livestock/plant trailer, and a new parental involvement program. Rosman High School is a beneficiary of our Tiger Impact Group (TIG) initiative.
