Free Rein Center

Founded in 2000, Free Rein Center (FRC) serves the community by strengthening the spirits, minds and bodies of children and adults through interaction with horses. As an accredited member of PATH International (Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship),  FRC offers programs that focus on the human-to-horse connection as the therapeutic agent in working with diverse groups ranging in age from children to senior citizens.  The Center provides services to individuals with a wide range of disabilities including but not limited to children and adults with autism spectrum disorder, multiple sclerosis, stroke, PTSD, ADD, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, at-risk youth, and other physical, cognitive, mental, emotional, and social needs.  FRC is most grateful to Lake Toxaway Charities for its continued funding of our program in Transylvania County.
