Rosman Middle School

Rosman Middle School serves 198 students in grades 6–8 in the heart of Rosman, with a student body that reflects the diversity and economic realities of the broader community — including a 65% free and reduced lunch rate and 22% of students with special needs. Guided by core values of respect, perseverance, responsibility, and integrity, RMS is committed to fostering academic achievement, positive character, and a sense of belonging for every student.

To strengthen school culture and student engagement, Rosman Middle School is implementing the Ron Clark House System — a schoolwide initiative that organizes students into houses where they earn points through positive behavior, academic effort, leadership, and service. Students are randomly assigned to a house when they arrive and remain in it throughout their middle school years, building lasting bonds and a genuine sense of team and identity.

Lake Toxaway Charities is proud to support this initiative, with grant funding used to ensure that every RMS student — regardless of background or means — has access to house merchandise that connects them to their community, as well as a “house store” where students can redeem individually earned points for small rewards. By removing financial barriers to participation, this program gives all students an equal opportunity to feel seen, celebrated, and part of something bigger than themselves.
