Many of you have been asking – “What can I do to help others in our community.” The Lake Toxaway Charities Board has been busy developing our strategy to move forward quickly and responsibly and help get the word out to you.

Our strategy is to first find food and housing for those in need. Soon we will be rebuilding homes and we will pivot to address this.

Over the last 3 days we have called, emailed and went to visit 16 agencies that serve or distribute food and also provide housing for those less fortunate in Transylvania County. We are developing a game plan and our entire board is meeting tomorrow afternoon to solidify our plans.

For those who have already decided to act on the needs of our community and are volunteering please keep going and thank you. For those who want to have additional guidance please hang on for another day or two. We will reach out tomorrow afternoon or early Monday morning with a well thought out game plan.
