Sparkpoint (Sustainable Health For All)

SparkPoint exists to foster community well-being rooted in connection. Addressing what Transylvania County’s 2024 Community Health Assessment identified as two of the county’s most pressing concerns — mental health challenges and social isolation — SparkPoint works as both a direct service provider and a countywide convener, helping residents, nonprofits, and community leaders align resources, reduce isolation, and build long-term resilience. In 2025, SparkPoint reached more than 7,700 residents through workshops, events, storytelling initiatives, and partner collaborations — representing approximately 23% of Transylvania County’s population.

SparkPoint’s integrated model combines trauma-informed facilitation, community storytelling, and data synthesis to translate lived experience into actionable community insight. Its programs span youth mental health outreach, workforce and leadership development, cross-sector coordination, and post-disaster recovery support. Following Hurricane Helene, SparkPoint hosted more than four community outreach events reaching over 1,300 people, three countywide wellness workshops for 150 high school students and staff, and a one-year Helene anniversary healing event that drew 700 attendees and 35 community partners.

Lake Toxaway Charities is proud to support SparkPoint’s Community Purpose Workshops and Senior Wellness Day programming — bringing free, research-based purpose and connection workshops to adults countywide and to graduating seniors at each Transylvania County high school.
