For 45 years, Four Seasons has been a trusted nonprofit leader in hospice and palliative care across Western North Carolina, serving patients and families navigating life-limiting and terminal diagnoses with compassion, dignity, and skilled interdisciplinary support. Today, Four Seasons serves 14 counties across the region, and in the most recent fiscal year alone, provided hospice and palliative care to 480 patients in Transylvania County — part of more than 20,000 individuals served across Western North Carolina.
Four Seasons’ care model extends well beyond the patient, encompassing the full circle of family members, caregivers, and loved ones who walk alongside them. Master’s-level grief coordinators, licensed clinical social workers, board-certified music therapists, chaplains, and home health aides work together to address the emotional, spiritual, and practical needs that arise during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.
Lake Toxaway Charities is proud to support Four Seasons’ Angel Fund, which ensures that uninsured and underinsured Transylvania County residents have access to the same high-quality end-of-life care as anyone else — regardless of their financial means. In the past year, 18 local patients received care through this fund, with no pay source available to cover the cost.
