Thanks to a generous grant from Lake Toxaway Charities, the Lake Toxaway Community Center off Hwy. 281 refurbished their playground and doubled it in size. The roof of the picnic shelter was repaired and lighting for evening activities was installed. New plastic play structures were added for toddlers, and two climbing walls and a wooden tree house plus a tire swing were built.  The finishing touch was to install plastic mulch in all needed areas for safety.  The expanded playground and picnic areas are a huge success, used daily by area families and their children, who can now explore and play safely on the new equipment.
