Fire at the SAFE House

Today we were made aware that the SAFE House in Brevard suffered a grease fire in their kitchen. A thorough clean up and restoration is required to make the house habitable for vulnerable women and children in our community. The SAFE House is currently fully occupied and is in need of our support, 28 women and children are affected by the fire.

Lake Toxaway Charities, because of our donor’s generosity, will pay $20,000 immediately to get SAFE back up and running before Christmas. In the meantime, we have arranged alternative sleeping arrangements and meals.

We say this often, because it’s true, your donations are NEEDED and greatly appreciated.

From the Director of Stacey’s House (SAFE House): “Though the fire was a horrible experience, I have been reminded of the true meaning of Christmas and blessed beyond words. Christmas Day at Stacey’s House will be a joyful day and we all will give thanks to God for blessing the good people of Lake Toxaway and touching them to give generously to others in need.”
