The Quebec Community Center serves as an essential gathering place for residents in the western part of Transylvania County, providing free space for a wide range of community needs. The center is available to between 225–250 families in the area, and roughly a third of that population uses the facility at various times throughout the year.
At the heart of the center’s daily programming is a senior meal site, operated in partnership with WWNCSource, where 20–25 seniors gather each day for a free meal and activities. An additional 25 meals are distributed daily to homebound seniors — helping older residents maintain their independence and remain in their homes. The center also hosts fundraisers, family events, and community gatherings, all at no charge to those who use it, and contributes funds to TC Henderson Elementary to help teachers purchase school supplies.
