PurplPlace is a Brevard-based nonprofit built on the belief that women deserve a place where their whole health is cared for in one supportive space. Serving women navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and other life challenges, PurplPlace brings together personal trainers, nutritionists, wellness consultants, and licensed mental health counselors to provide coordinated, compassionate care — all under one roof and accessible regardless of income. Since its founding, the organization has grown rapidly, and in the past year alone served 150 women in Transylvania County.
What sets PurplPlace apart is its integrated approach: rather than treating physical, emotional, and mental health as separate concerns, PurplPlace addresses them together. Programs like their hybrid workout-based support groups and the “Move–Share–Heal” series — which pairs structured fitness sessions with licensed group therapy — reflect this whole-person philosophy in action.
Lake Toxaway Charities is proud to support PurplPlace’s continued growth and expansion. Grant funding will help sustain and scale their hybrid mental and physical health groups, expand the “Move–Share–Heal” program to reach more women across the county, and support a facility move that will allow for expanded programming and onsite childcare — removing one of the most significant barriers that keeps mothers from accessing care. With a goal of tripling the number of women served, PurplPlace is poised to become an even more vital resource for women and families in Transylvania County.
